You Built an Electric Car … Out of a DeLorean?

The New York Times wrote an article about Deloreans last week.

The DeLorean Car Show this weekend in Gettysburg, Pa., will probably bring out many different examples of the much beloved stainless steel car, from pristine restorations to the requisite B.T.T.F. (that’s “Back to the Future”) time machine conversions. But the most interesting car at the biannual event could be an electric DeLorean, built by Dave Delman out of his garage in Jericho, N.Y.

Cardboard Delorean

Susannah Haldeman found the cardboard Delorean in front of Hopkins hall on the oval at Ohio State University in the spring of 2005.

The cardboard Delorean was for Art 206, 3-D Foundations. The class took 3 weeks to finish the project. The car was taken apart and given to each of the students. The class thought about making the DeLorean time machine but figured it would take too much time to finish.

Universal Studios Experience

At Universal Studios Hollywood a new attraction called the “Univeral Studios Experience” opened up, which displays the model Back to the Future Time Machine from Part 3, that was used for the 1885 Locomotive scene.

What happen to all the Delorean Ride Cars?

They are taken apart, left outside to rust, in the Universal Studios backlot.

Courthouse Square Set From Back to the Future Destroyed In Fire

A fire at Universal Studios today has destroyed a set from “Back to the Future,” the King Kong exhibit and a video vault containing more than 40,000 videos and reels.

Alhough the fire has been contained, officials say the iconic courthouse square from “Back to the Future,” has been destroyed, and the famous clocktower that enabled star Michael J. Fox’s character to time travel has been damaged.

Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Daryl Jacobs said at least one building had burned and as many as three blocks of movie facades were destroyed. The cause of the fire at Universal Studios is under investigation.

Back To The Future Tattoo

Found these pictures of a woman with a Back to the Future Tattoo. This is just the starting of a full Back to the Future tattoo sleeve. I think this is an awesome idea but I would never get a Tattoo sleeve but I did it would defeintly be something similar to this. I am considering getting the flux capacitor sketch that doc drew as a tattoo.

Spin City Back To The Future Spoof

The cast from Spin City get into a Delorean to travel to Tuesday at 9 because thats the new time that Spin City was coming on.

Indiana Jones 4 But No Back To The Future 4?

After exiting the theatre for Indiana Jones 4, I overheard some people talking about the movie. They were basically saying that they was not sure about the ending being good and if it was any other movie besides Indiana Jones 4 they wouldn’t of liked it but because it was, they was happy with it.


I feel the same way about Indiana Jones 4 and also a Back to the Future 4 movie. No matter how bad a Back to the Future 4 might be, I know i’d still love it and it wouldn’t ruin the trilogy for me. Not every fan agrees with me on this but i’m sure enough people would go see the movie to make it profitable, but like Bob Gale said in the Celebration Q&A, it isn’t going to happen.

Maybe if the Back to the Future trilogy on blu-ray does amazingly well, something could change but i wouldn’t hold my breath.

Even though this Back to the future 4 trailer is a hoax it did make me very excited to watch it and pretend a Back to the Future 4 was actually going to be released.
