ABC tv show Lost, channeled its inner density - I mean, destiny - in a Back to the Future style episode last night.
If Daniel Faraday wasn’t Doc Brown (right down to the crazy hair and the mathematic equations), then who was? The scene were Desmond tells Daniel about Eloise and the look Daniel gave Desmond afterwards, that look was the same look Doc Brown gave Marty when Marty mentioned the Flux Capacitor. All of the constant flash-backing and -forward was too much. I was seriously hoping Desmond would find a DeLorean already and beat it out of Dodge.
The funniest line of the night was when Desmond and Sayid entered the freighter’s communications room and discovered that all of the communication equipment has been decimated. Desmond asks Sayid, who’s holding a bunch of cut wires in his hand, if he can fix it so that he can call Penny. Sayid says, “I’ll need a minute,”. OK, MacGyver.
Am I the only one who thinks this episode needed a moment for Sayid to take a single moment to digest that they were on a boat and that they were going to return to civilization.
Gary Weaver notified the DeLorean community about a Back To The Future Delorean For Sale that David Jason created. David was an active member on Gary Weaver’s BTTFPARTS.COM message board, passed away last June. Dave had done an outstanding job on a BTTF Part I/II Delorean time machine conversion and created the website docstimemachine.com
His wife contacted Gary last weekend and has asked to try to help sell his conversion.
The Back To The Future Delorean For Sale is looking to accept offers above $50,000. It is a VERY well done conversion. If you are interested in buying this time machine you can contact Gary at bttfparts.com
I went to Universal Studios Florida yesterday (Sunday February 24, 2008) and was very disapointed to not see what I already knew was gone. The Back to the Future store is now the KWIK-E-MART. Inside the KWIK-E-MART there was not one Back To The Future item, they did have every possible Simpsons merchandise you could want.
Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Marge were all around the park to take pictures with. The lines were actually getting about 15-20 people long. The DeLorean Time Machine was not found anywhere in the park and was not parked in the Fear Factor Live garage anymore.
a “Sportsflash” holo-announcement starts. It says that the Chicago Cubs beat the Miami Gators in the World Series.
Marty: Wait a minute…..Cubs win World Series….against Miami? Terry: Yeah, something huh? Who would have thought? 100 to 1 shot. I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season and put some money on the Cubs. Marty: No, I just meant Miami…..what did you just say? Terry: I said I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season, put some money on the Cubbies!
The Florida Marlins are now on course to be in their 37,000-seat, retractable-roof stadium ballpark in 2011. After the 2010 season the team will officially change its name to the Miami Marlins and move to their new $515 million dollar stadium.
How amazing would it of been if they actually changed the name to the Miami Gators. Lets see if Miami will face the cubs in the 2015 season.
Driving down I-95 this morning on the way to work, I noticed that i’m having some problems getting it into the gear. I put it into 5th and drive the rest of the way to work.
Approaching the exit ramp I put the DeLorean into 3rd gear, which gave me a hard time but i didn’t force it. I pulled into a parking lot and checked underneath of the car, which looked fine. I checked the clutch fluid level and it was bone dry. Near the pedals I noticed the carpet had brake fluid which means I have a bad Master Cylinder.
I filled it up with Brake fluid and pumped the clutch to try to get rid of as much air as possible and its working fine now and got it home safely. I’m going to buy a new Master cylinder and slave cylinder also today to get it replaced right away.
I’m sure everyone is excited that they actually made a Delorean Transformer but it was less than meets the eye. The Delorean Transformer was actually a micromaster which is basically a cheaper smaller transformer. The Delorean Transformer was named Swindler, which was a cheap stab towards John DeLorean. The Delorean Transformer is rare and probably could get a small but nice amount of money for it on ebay.
The statement that Blu-ray fans have been waiting for nearly two years to hear, president of Universal Studios Home Entertainment Craig Kornblau has announced that Universal Studios will begin distributing their films on the Blu-ray format. He commented, “While Universal values the close partnership we have shared with Toshiba, it is time to turn our focus to releasing new and catalog titles on Blu-ray.”
He continued, “The path for widespread adoption of the next-generation platform has finally become clear. Universal will continue its aggressive efforts to broaden awareness for hi-def’s unparalleled offerings in interactivity and connectivity, at an increasingly affordable price. The emergence of a single, high-definition format is cause for consumers, as well as the entire entertainment industry, to celebrate.”
While no solid details about which titles or specific dates were revealed at this time, a more detailed announcement is expected soon.
Took the DeLorean out today and had one guy come up to me and said, “My girlfriend asked me, what the hell, what kind of car is that?!” He came over and took 2 camera phone pictures and then was on his way. A few hours, the girl cashier at Wendys said, “I really like your car”.
And about another dozen people pointing and saying back to the future at the mall.
Just another day in the life of a DeLorean owner….

Back to the Future: the Animated series could be on shelves as soon as July 2008, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. BTTF.com says they think it is a bit premature to suggest that because Universal still has not given up on HD-DVD’s yet and Back to the Future will not be released until that happens.
Once Universal makes the switch from HD-DVD to Blu-ray Disc it is rumored we will be seeing a 2-disc Back to the Future Special Edition release, the Back to the Future Animated Series and even the Back to the Future The Ride footage.
Nevertheless, this is good news and Back to the Future: The Animated Series should be coming to DVD soon.
