I was recently at www.cinemassacre.com (home of the Angry Video Game Nerd) and he has been posting pictures of his visits to BTTF filming locations lately, and I found one set that intrigued me. In his travels, AVGN found some seeminlgy old gaffer tape in the parking lot of Twin Pines Mall. 23 year old gaffer tape perhaps? It may or may not be from BTTF, but from the way it was described, it sounds like a good possibility.

Better chance that it is leftover gaffer tape from Back to the Future 4
or it is from BTTF and the mall property owners have yet to repave the lot.
