The DeLorean Motor Company is a brand without a car and the Pontiac Solstice is a car without a brand. Â The company has released the drawings below and acquired a Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe for evaluation. DMC also says they’re excited about the prospect of “putting several hundred people back to work” in Wilmington, though it’s unclear at how much capital it would take to acquire the plant and the source of funding for such an endeavor.

Now, the way I see it, if you’re going to build a time machine, why not do it with some style? Stainless steel panels are out of the question and if this is going to be successful it has to have gull wing doors.
I’m currently in Thailand with my wife and going to the beach everyday. Since I know the Delorean Time Machine like the back of my hand. I’m going to attempt to create it in the sand. Definently won’t be to scale.
Back in Miami I have my dad starting my Delorean every couple of weeks. I’ll be back in a few months. I have some Back to the Future posts I will be publishing shortly.
A song from Zack and Miri Make a Porno, mentions cruisin in a delorean.
The first line of the song is “Cruisin’ Mos Espa in my DeLorean” The song is actually really cool especially if you’re a geek. It’s about how cool it is to be Boba Fett.Â

When I arrived at my destination in my Delorean I found out my gullwing door would not open. I played around with but with no luck. I tried to think why would this happened and then it hit me like a bolt of lightning. a bolt of lightning.
The valet shut the door for me and the logical conclusion is that he didn’t close the gullwing door all the way. I climbed out the passegner side and looked at the door. I locked it, I unlocked it, it opened.
I didn’t have any other problems with the doors but on the way home it started to rain hard and my winshield wipers decided that they didn’t want to work correctly anymore. I had to get off the highway and play around with it at the gas station and was able to get the passenger winshield wiper working so I drove home with my head tilted to the right.
Got laid off from my job last week and have been considering selling the Delorean. Since my wife and I won’t be working at the same company anymore, we will need two cars. So I decided to keep the Delorean and it will become my daily driver.I had a flat tire a few weeks ago and bought a new tire and just got it put on last weekend.
The Delorean needs an alignment really badly. I’m not sure where I’m going to take it. Otherwise the car has been running good and the windshield wipers fixed themselves. My main problem now is that my AC belt is squeaking very loudly. The AC works but I’m not using it currently because i’m not sure what the current problem is and I don’t want to make it worst. Â I believe the belt is new. I’ll post a video of the AC making the noise and maybe someone can figure out what is causing the squeaking noise.
I’m most likely going to be traveling around the world from January to November next year and won’t be updating the Delorean until afterwards. I’m going to have my dad take it for a short drive every week.Â
Yesterday I took the Delorean out for a drive and my tire went over a curb when i was parking. I got instantly worried but it seemed fine but an hour later it was completly flat. Luckily I was right near my parents house so I got it to their house ok.
My friend suggested we put the spare on. But honestly it is the original spare and probably hasn’t been touched since 1984. I doub’t it would even have air in it.I’m going to look at the tire today to see if it could be fixed but I will most likely just buy a new tire. Hopefully I will be able to get it fixed before the tech day next Saturday.Â
Kanye West closed the VMA’s performing a new song. MTV was advertising this throughout the VMA’s. Since his latest video is Good Morning I hoped it would be that song and it would feature a Delorean but unfortunately it was not.
Got a new battery and the Delorean started right up. I’m pretty sure the valet killed the battery by leaving the lights on. Â Update:Â The problem happened again after leaving the car off with the doors open for 5 minutes. This did not seem possible that a brand new battery would get drained that quickly. After taking a look at the positive terminal i played around with it and the car started perfectly.I’m going to take the advice I got and clean all the terminals. I’m guessing that it is getting a bad connection at times. I’ll bet that my other battery isn’t actually dead also.Â
The building where i live you have to valet your car. You can’t park your car yourself. (drives me crazy)Â Anyways so there is a new valet guy and i come home at midnight and give him the key and explain to him where the headlight button is and how to go into reverse and go to my loft.
When i am off to work the next morning the car is still parked and the regular valet guys tell me they can’t start the car.I get the keys and inspect really quickly and the battery is completly dead. When i parked it was fine and was driving it for 20 minutes prior. I do not see any reason for the battery to just be dead.
Does anyone have any suggestions? After work i’m going to get my car battery charger and give it a full charge.
The new Kanye West music video is a cartoon and has a Delorean in it.
At the beginning of the music video the bear jumps into the Delorean and makes it start hovering. But the engine fails and starts smoking and the Delorean falls onto the ground.
Interesting to note that the windows are not accurate and he can stick his head out of them and the interior is brown.
On Saturday myself, two other Delorean owners and my buddy from work with his F250 towing a U-Haul trailer recovered
my Delorean.
when we rolled it off the trailer into my garage I had forgotten to measure to see if the doors would even open. After it stopped in the garage I was like ” crap… the doors”. Thankfully they opened with tons of clearence
check it
I’ve got a lot of parts for the car in boxes. The engine is sitting, wrapped in heavy plastic sheeting, on my driveway. Its on the right front corner in front of my car. The HOA better not complain, it will be gone soon anyways. Its going up to Ohio to be used as a core for a rebuild from dmctalk member, turbomcfly85.
Before the storm arrived I decided to fill up the Delorean with gas. It was already raining but not bad yet. To my suprise my windshield wipers decided they did not want to work anymore. I pulled over to try to solve the problem. They basically went to low and are getting stuck on the glass. I pushed them back up and they’d work for a second then fall back down. I’ve recently replaced the wipers and they were working fine until Monday.
