Delorean Is Back!

by bluxed on July 24, 2008

I went to Bonita Springs, FL yesterday and picked up the Delorean. The car is running great now and since I owned the Delorean it was probably the most I have ever driven it yesterday.

Delorean fixed the following:

  • Fuel Pressure Tests
  • WUR
  • Electrical Tests
  • Cooling Fan Rewiring
  • Relays
  • Headlights fixed
  • Tailights fixed
  • brake pump and master cylinder Replaced
  • Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder Replaced
  • Instrument Panel Lights fixed
  • Steering Wheel Bushings
  • Muffler Bracket

Spent about an hour washing it. I need to get a new blending pad and spend a few hours blending out some of the spots on it from sitting at my dad’s house.

It didn’t take long before people were admiring and complimenting me about the Delorean.

On the way home i stopped at the Waffle House, and the customers and employees commenting on the car being amazing and that they haven’t seen one in years. At the gas station the attendent working the cash register came outside and complimented me and mentioned how Back to the Future was his favorite movie. Even more people staring at lights, standing outside it at Blockbuster and I even caught my neighbors and valet to my building staring at it when i came downstairs.

I am a little weary of letting the valet park my car simply because i do not really want anyone driving the Delorean except me. My building is valet only and if i could i would park it myself. Last night the valet let me park it infront of the building and he seemed kinda confused. He asked me, “How do I close the door?”

I’m also not sure if they will figure out how to go to reverse, turn the headlights on etc easily.

Do you guys ever let your Delorean be parked by valet? Do you explain anything to them before giving them the keys?
