Leftover gaffer tape?

by Mr. Stricland on September 12, 2008

undefined

I was recently at www.cinemassacre.com (home of the Angry Video Game Nerd) and he has been posting pictures of his visits to BTTF filming locations lately, and I found one set that intrigued me. In his travels, AVGN found some seeminlgy old gaffer tape in the parking lot of Twin Pines Mall. 23 year old gaffer tape perhaps? It may or may not be from BTTF, but from the way it was described, it sounds like a good possibility.

Time Travel In Slow Motion

by bluxed on September 9, 2008

Awesome video that allows you to see a lot of detail of time traveling by playing the scenes from the Back to the Future trilogy in slow motion. One thing I noticed especially is that the fire trail comes from all four tires and not just the back two. Thanks Okta for creating the video.

Radiation Suit Costume From Back to the Future

by bluxed on September 8, 2008

As I’ve mentioned before I have been talking with some costume makers and i’m still trying to explain every detail i want. Making the head piece perfect and adding the missing belt. Getting the right shade of yellow.Currently the estimate is $199 for the radiation suit like the one worn by Marty in Back to the Future. If I order in bulk I’m told I can get them cheaper. So i’m thinking of ordering 10 and should be able to get the price between $125-$150 shipped. If you are interested in getting one of these or want more information, Please let me know right away. I won’t be collecting any money until i get all the details. My goal is to get this completed before Halloween.

Marty Mcfly Costume

by bluxed on August 26, 2008

I was finally able to purchase a very sought after item from someone who came to bttfblog.com with it offering to sell it. The Fall 1984 Guess Marciano Denim Jacket. The Guess jacket is size large and in great condition. I did pay a pretty penny for it about $200. Although, the colors are switched this is as close as you can get to the jacket from the movie without making your own.

I will post pictures of the denim jacket as soon as it is delivered.

So what do I still need to complete my Marty McFly costume?

  • Casino  CA-53W Watch
  • Black Suspenders
  • Shah Safari Checkered Shirt (Currently Using An Oakley White Short-Sleeve Checkered Shirt)

Some accessories I still need/want include:

  • Screen Accurate Matel Hover Board
  • Aiwa Tape Player Model HS-P02 MKII (Silver)

by McFly88 on July 31, 2008

If you missed your chance to see BTTF at last years Celebration Car Show, now you have another chance this October. Here is the post from dmctalk.com’s Delorean Club of Florida section :

“DCF is proud to announce our participation in Avalon Park’s “Movie Under the Stars” on Friday, October 24th 2008! Showtime will be announced closer to the event.

The town of Avalon Park in southeast Orange County (Near Waterford Lakes/UCF area) has asked DCF to participate in one of their “Movie Under the Stars” nights this fall. Of course, on Oct. 24th they will be showing Back To The Future! They would like at least 4 or more DeLoreans to be displayed near their outdoor “theatre” before, during, and possibly after the film. This is a great opportunity to show off the cars and socialize with fellow owners and enthusiasts!

Google Maps Directions

Please post in this thread if you are interested in participating and bringing your D. Thanks!”

-Morpheus

Hope to see you all out there!

Follow the thread here as more information develops and a time is listed.

Back to the Future Nitpickers Unite!

by McFly88 on July 31, 2008

How many of you out there have noticed the little things that change or do not flow with the BTTF movie? Have you ever noticed the disappearing trick the blow dryer plays in Marty McFly’s belt while dressed in the radiation suit in the scene with young George McFly? If you answered yes, then you are a nitpicker.  Many small things pop up in the movie that I really did not notice. Another one for you to check out is also in part one.

Here’s the interesting website www.nitpickers.com. Its members tear into every movie imaginable and refute, bicker, enjoy all aspects of movies.

Hill Valley: An Oxymoron

by bluxed on July 20, 2008

Mr. Strickland from the BTTF message boards pointed out that Hill Valley is an oxymoron.

“My girlfriend pointed this out to me and I never noticed before, but isn’t the name “Hill Valley” an oxymoron? Think about it: What is a valley? The space between two hills. So how can a valley be full of hills? Wouldn’t that just make smaller valleys in between? If anything, it should have been called “Small Valley” …What do you think?”

Short Circuit – Beautiful animal… canine… dog… mutt.

by bluxed on July 20, 2008

I was watching the 1986 film Short Circuit today and noticed a familiar canine. Stephanie’s dog in the movie looks a lot like the dog Einstein from Back to the Future.

In Short Circuit, Stephanie calls her dog Beezely to jump off the roof and into her arms and after saying Beezely twice she says “Einey”.

This happens around 24 minutes into the film. Same dog and perhaps she said Einey by accident?

Back to the Future Screening, New Jersey July 11

by bluxed on June 30, 2008

Anice cream place called Makes Cliff’s in Freehold, NJ is doing a Back to the Future screening on July 11 at 8:15PM. They use a large 22 foot inflatable screen and serve ice cream, soda, popcorn, and hot dogs.

The manager has invited DeLorean owners to participate and display their cars (he said something about free ice cream for anyone who brings a DeLorean).

If anyone is interested in attending, let me know and I will forward this to the people going.  The Delorean owners will be having dinner also before the movie.

The place is Applegate Farms, 356 West main Street (Rt 537) in Freehold NJ.
