back to the future store turns into kwiki mart

I went to Universal Studios Florida yesterday (Sunday February 24, 2008) and was very disapointed to not see what I already knew was gone. The Back to the Future store is now the KWIK-E-MART. Inside the KWIK-E-MART there was not one Back To The Future item, they did have every possible Simpsons merchandise you could want.

Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Marge were all around the park to take pictures with. The lines were actually getting about 15-20 people long. The DeLorean Time Machine was not found anywhere in the park and was not parked in the Fear Factor Live garage anymore.

The Back To The Future The Ride building is now painted purple and lots of construction is still going on. I saw a few workers fixing the outside of the ride.

There was a tiny bit of Back To The Future merchandise to be found at Universal Studios Florida. At the Universal Studios Store near the park entrance. I found plenty of the part 3 style Delorean Time Machines for $39 and some of the smaller less detailed models underneath it.

There was a few dozen Johnny Lightning Toy Deloreans and another cheaper toy car above it. I also found a Back to the Future spoon and a Back to the Future The Ride postcard. I couldn’t find any t-shirts, DVD’s, einstein dolls, model sets, or keychains that use to be in the Back to the Future Store

My Universal Studios annual pass expires in September so I will be there opening day to review the Simpsons Ride but this Time Traveler will not be renewing his annual pass.

I’d much rather know how you perfected the art of cloning.

Do you and all your clones do your clothes shopping together? I’d have a hard time just getting mine all in one photo!

I do feel bad that I am one of the few DeLorean owners who never got a chance to ride the BTTF ride. Come to think of it, I’ve only been in two large amusement parks in my life. I need to get out more.

if you own and drive a delorean, you’re already on the bttf ride IMO.
